Did you know…

The annual Dartmoor Devil bicycle ride starts at Bovey Tracey. The event is held every October and brings in crowds and participants from all over the world. The challenge involves over 2,000 m of climbing and over 100 km across Dartmoor moorlands and surrounding land. The Dartmoor Devil challenge was named after a folktale that tells the story of the devil visiting the area on a bike and seizing a poor boy from the ground, never to be seen off again.

About Bovey Tracey

The small town sits on the edge of picturesque Dartmoor and the River Bovey, making it a lovely place to visit. The winding streets, stunning views and impressive parks and gardens show off all this quaint market town has to offer. The town is accessible by road, just 14 miles from Torquay and 16 miles from Exeter city centre. So, it is not hard to see why Bovey Tracey is sought after by those wanting to buy in the area.

The Community

Local attractions include the House of Marbles glass blowing for a beautiful day out with friends and family and the National Trust's Park estate, which is lovely for walks, picnicking and taking in the views. The town celebrates its local produce every other Saturday with a farmers market - a popular weekend attraction for residents and neighbouring towns. Bovey Heathfield is the site of a civil war battle; it also houses rare plants and wildlife - a must-see if you are in Bovey Tracey. For those looking for a local drink and some good food, residents and visitors are spoilt for choice; with traditional English pubs, cafes, bistros, an Indian restaurant, ice cream parlours and cream tea spots, there is truly something for everyone.

WHAT OUR CLIENTS SAY ABOUT US . . .

quote

We used RE/MAX for the sale of our property. RE/MAX was very helpful from start to finish, always there at the end of the phone when needed. Always chasing for updates. They have been truly amazing! Their costs are also very good value for money when you consider the service they provide. I would highly recommend!
