About Bushbury

Bushbury is a suburb of Wolverhampton, a village two miles northeast of the city centre. In the 19th century it was a sparsely populated area, having less than 500 residents recorded in 1801. But, once industry and rail transport grew in the 20th century, so did Bushbury. The area underwent fast development in the 1920’s, and many of the properties built in this phase are still standing today.

Bushbury also offers convenient access to the M54, and the M6, if you are looking to sightsee further afield.

Things to do in Bushbury

• Moseley Old Hall is a National Trust property that gives you a glimpse into the area's past. It’s an atmospheric, Elizabethan farmhouse, and the King Charles II’s hiding place after he fled Cromwell’s troops at the battle of Worcester in 1651.
• If you’re a fan of golf, you’ll have Greenfield Golf Club on your doorstep, this is a private, 9 hole (18 tee) members club. The club professes that it offers ‘the best value golf in the Midlands’, and our estate agents agree.
• If you have little ones, our estate agents in Bushbury recommend Northycote Farm and Country Park. This is a working farm nestled into 90 acres of woodland, fields, and meadowlands. There are chickens, pigs, and sheep to entertain children, and a tearoom for the adults.
