About Cheney Manor 

Cheney Manor is a suburb in the southwest of England just over 2 miles north of Swindon and nearby towns, Mordeon and Robbourne. Cheney Manor has a rich history of industrial estates, although the same can still be said today, bringing much work to the area.

Due to its large industrial estate, Cheney Manor played an important part of the town’s history and by 1928, the borough of Swindon had built many new roads, all of which once belonged to Cheney Manor farm. As time went on, new bungalows were built in Cheney Manor to transform the town.

Things to do in Cheney Manor

Cheney Manor is somewhat ruled by its industrial estate status although there are still many nearby activities to get involved with. At The Great Western Railways’ Steam museum for example, get up close and personal to the iconic locomotives and train simulators. The museum also runs many exhibitions and events and well worth taking the time to exploring these.

If you like the outdoors, Lydiard Park’s Jungle Parc is a must. Complete with tree canopy explorer courses, tree climbing and picnic areas, you can also take a well-deserved rest (once you are done ziplining over the town that is). For some entertainment, the Wyvern Theatre holds a range of live music, theatre productions, gigs and much more.
