Clevedon
Clevedon is located in the middle of seven hills, Court Hill, Church Hill, Wain's Hill, Dial Hill, Strawberry Hill, Castle Hill, and Hangstone hill. The unique setting can be enjoyed from the centre of the town. With a population of around 22,000 residents, this small English seaside town in North Somerset is just over 13 miles from Bristol city centre and is constantly referred to as one of the best places to live in the country. And for a good reason. There is so much to see and do in Clevedon.
There are several landmarks in the area; Clevedon Court, with a rich history, is now a national trust that hosts thousands of visitors annually. In addition, the 17th-century Walton Castle and The Royal Pier hotel, a grade II listed building, is worth a visit, as is the pier that resides next to the hotel. Clevedon clock tower, the marine lake and the market hall are all hot spots to visit and enjoy.
The flourishing community is a lot of what makes Clevedon such a sought-after place to live. The impressive seafront houses stunning ornamental gardens, a bandstand preserved beautifully from the Victorian era and a railway that travels the perimeter of the main attractions by the coastline. There are even timeless donkey rides on the beach in the summer months. With plenty of families, retirees and professionals setting up homes in the area, the town accommodates an array of good schools, religious and cultural buildings, sporting facilities and shopping and great eateries to keep everyone happy!
